First report of the invasive plant Araujia from Iran

Abstract

A sample collected from the citrus orchards of the Sari Township, Mazandaran province (N Iran), was determined as Araujia sericifera Brot. (Apocynaceae), according to Markgraf (1972). This species and the genus Araujia, is new to Iran and the region covered by Flora Iranica (Rechinger 1970, 1974).

در بررسی گیاه ارسالی از باغ مرکبات ساری، نمونه‌ای براساس (1972) Markgraf تحت نامAraujia sericifera Brot. (Apocynaceae)  شناسایی گردید. این گونه و جنسAraujia  گزارشی جدیدبرای ایران و محدوده فلورا ایرانیکا (Rechinger (1974 و Rechinger (1970) می‌باشد.
