New distribution of Bacopa monnieri from North of Iran

Abstract

In the investigation of the vegetation of a part of Boujagh National Park in Guilan, Bacopa monnieri (L.) Wettstein was identified as a new record from northern Iran. This species is native to tropical environments and has been reported only in southern Iran. In this study, while reporting this specimen, the importance of studying it as an invasive species in the North of Iran is emphasized.
